The Alberta government provides financial and health support to eligible Albertans with a permanent medical condition that limits them from earning a living through AISH. The AISH recipients and Albertans who wish to apply for this benefit can read the article to learn about the payment dates and benefits of the program.
AISH Payment Date
Earlier this year, the Alberta government returned to the previous payment schedule of AISH, where AISH recipients used to receive the payments four days before the end of the month. The government took this decision after long criticism from the citizens that they can‘t manage their expenses when the payments are made on the first day of the month.
Four years ago, the Alberta government changed the AISH payment schedule to the first day of the month for the AISH recipients. Now, with the change, the AISH recipients have been receiving their payment for four days before the Month.
Hence, the recipients must have already received the AISH monthly payment for July on 25 June 2024. If the payment day falls on a weekend or holiday, the government will process their payment on the last business day before payment day. The AISH recipients can mark the following upcoming 2024 AISH payment dates on their calendars:
Month | Payment Date |
August | 26 July 2024 |
September | 27 August 2024 |
October | 24 September 2024 |
November | 28 October 2024 |
December | 26 November 2024 |
Important Note: The AISH recipients who opted for Direct deposit would receive the payment on the exact date, whereas AISH recipients who chose to get their payment via check through mail can expect their payment within three business days of the payment date.
